Count all of the windows in your home you need replaced and note the size and type of each one.
To get the correct size, you need to measure the UI of each window.
UI stands for "united inches".
How do you calculate UI?
Measure the height and width of the window frame (not the glass), then add them together:
UI = Width + Height
Sizes:
- Small = Under 70 UI
- Medium = 70 – 90 UI
- Large = Over 90 UI
-
Once you’ve determined the type and sizes of windows that need to be replaced, simply add them to the calculator:
Example: If you have two small awning windows and one large awning window:
- Click Add Window, select Awning, select Small, and set the quantity to “2”
- Click Add Window, select Awning, select Large, and set the quantity to “1”
Finally, click Calculate Estimate and you’ll receive two estimates — one for Vinyl Windows and one for Composite Windows.
